Specialties: all levels; jazz, fusion, rock, americana, finger-style, classical; understanding the entire fretboard in terms of notes, intervals (ear training), and chord and scale construction; composition and improvisation; When students have particular songs they wish to learn, we explore the theory of those songs as well. My objective is to teach students how to speak the language of music.
Credentials: 28 years playing experience, professional performance as a solo musician and band member, transcriptionist, apprenticed under some great classical, jazz and flamenco musicians, detailed methodology for teaching what I know in efficient and easy to understand terms.
