Specialties: The RHYTHM INTENSIVE a 4-8 week study of a Universal Theory of Rhythm as it applies to composition, improvisation, arrangement and production. LIVE LOOPING classes.......Rick is acknowledged as having kick started the International Live Looping Movement and founded the largest and 1st live looping festival in the world, held , annually, every third week of October in Santa Cruz.
Credentials: Rick has played music for 50 years; drumset for 41 years;world percussion (studying under 10 different master drummers from Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Asia and Indonesia) for 30 years. Other Services: Rick has devoted himself for his entire life to the pursuit of creativity and is considered an expert in helping people connect to their own creativity. He has improvised with some of the great master musicians of the planet and is particularly good and getting people to improvise and compose music for the first time in their lives.
Additional Information: Rick has taught over 3,000 students in his private teaching life. Additionally, he has taught over 500 students (including numerous well known professional musicians) his well known course, the Rhythm Intensive. He is known for teaching each student individually, according to their own knowledge base and their own ways of learning the most rapidly. He is known for being nuruturing and supportive.
